WELCOME TO QPI
Professional Indemnity Insurance is one of the most important investment decisions your Practice has to make. After premises and employees, it is likely to be one of your most significant costs. Therefore choosing your professional adviser is something you cannot afford to do lightly.
Unlike most brokers, we work exclusively with the legal profession.
In preparation for this years forthcoming renewal here are QPI's top tips for 2009.
1. Don't be pressurised into accepting an early offer from your broker. There may be alternatives out there of which you are unaware so let QPI advise you on what these may be. Create a market for your renewal when you choose which means not being overbroked. Our independence and objectivity ensures no pressure will be applied and our clients always receive advice in their best interests.
2. Tell your risk management story. How are you managing risk within your firm? A simple explanation in a briefing document can be invaluable for your broker and QPI can assist and guide you as to what information is appropriate for insurers.
3. Less is definitely not more this renewal in terms of information about your firm for Insurers. But do you know what information will help and how to present it? QPI understand Insurers requirements and attitudes and can advise on what you ought to be doing to tell underwriters you're story.
4. What are the key risk areas Insurers are focussing on this year? Property work and Commercial appear to be where certain Underwriters are concentrating and how and what to advise them if you do this type of work will be critical to managing you're renewal. QPI can advise on how and what to include in you're presentation.
5. Financing your premiums. Did you know some Insurers offer interest free instalment facilities!
